Llangattock Church and Churchyard Open Day

Saturday 10th June 10.30am – 3.00pm

On Saturday 10th June, there is an open day at St Catwg’s, in association with the Brecknock Wildlife Trust, the Biodiversity Information Service and Cherishing Churchyards Week. 

10.30am – short walk around the village.  Learn how to identify and record wildlife using the humble pencil or flashy smartphone app!

12-1pm – tea and cake

12.15pm – bug hunt in churchyard

Use fun equipment to get close to and better understand all that creeps and crawls among the tombstones.  See what dropped into the moth trap!

1pm – short walk around the village – a different route to this morning’s walk.

Learn about wildlife and the history of the church.

There will be a cake sale after the Family Service next Sunday, so please come prepared to purchase home-baked goods!


“Let’s Celebrate”  A Festival of Flowers

St. Catwg’s Church is delighted to host a Festival of Flowers in cooperation with Abergavenny Flower Arrangement Society.

Preview Party Thursday 19th October 7pm, tickets £10.

Festival continues October 20th, 21st and 22nd, 10.30am – 4pm.
